I was helping out at the Passport to Woodinville pickup this weekend. We were in the newly refurbished banquet room at Columbia Winery. We had quite a crowd picking up their glasses and Passports and the tasting room was packed with people. Tweet This Post

Taste of Washington: Endurance vs. Sprint

by Shona Milne on April 8, 2009

For the first time, I attended Taste Washington.  There were over two hundred wineries under one roof. There were also sixty restaurants. I’m not sure how many of the wineries and restaurants I tasted the wine or food but you have got to pace yourself to enjoy Taste Washington. Tweet This Post

by Shona Milne on April 7, 2009

I spent some time at Covington Cellars last week for a couple of events. The first was a Winery After Hours sponsored by the Woodinville Chamber of Commerce which allows member wineries to showcase their business. Our first wine was a Viognier which was paired with a tiny tomato stuffed with cheese and a mini green bean […]

NW Women’s Show: Review

by Shona Milne on April 2, 2009

Well, my feet still hurt from all the walking that I did on Sunday afternoon at the NW Women’s Show. I think I ended up with about 17 pounds of cat food, Slim Fast bars, vitamins, lotions, shampoos, and various other trinkets. I started and ended my day in the wine tasting area which I […]

Boutique Woodinville Winery: Not For Sale

by Shona Milne on April 1, 2009

I’ve removed the link and the picture in case anyone else could figure it out. Perhaps we victims of an April […]

William Church Winery, Alexander Nicole Cellars, Brian Carter Cellars, and NW Totem Cellars were pouring that evening. Mike Sharadin from NW Totem Cellars was pouring my favorite Late […]

Happenings in the Winery Warehouse District

by Shona Milne on March 7, 2009

I was out at the Winery Warehouse District this afternoon dodging raindrops, snowflakes, and hail this afternoon. I did make some discoveries about a new business and a winery that will open soon. I spoke with Jon Parsons and Mark Pountain at Luxe Wine Cellars which has just opened. Luxe offers distinctive wine cellars solutions with custom […]

Que Syrah, Syrah, Syrah

by Shona Milne on February 28, 2009

I went to the Open House for Hollywood Hill Vineyards this afternoon and had a great time. They have recently relocated to Apple Farm Village right next to Village Wines. They were tasting their 2008 Roussanne which was just bottled in the past two weeks. I must say that it had a great flavor and I […]
