Columbia Winery: Passport Pickup Weekend

by Shona Milne on April 12, 2009

columbiaI was helping out at the Passport to Woodinville pickup this weekend. We were in the newly refurbished banquet room at Columbia Winery. We had quite a crowd picking up their glasses and Passports and the tasting room was packed with people.

I had a tour & tasting with Linda Conklin, Hospitality Manager NW, at Columbia last week. The winery is currently undergoing a remodel and facelift. The banquet room was done in warm earth tones which any bride can use as her canvas with her chosen wedding colors without competing with the decor.  It can accomodate groups up to 225 people. I also saw the unfinished upstairs conference room and office area. It’s still a construction zone but things will shape up soon. It’s a hard hat area in the old gift shop space. That will be an area where you can order wine by the glass and sit by a new fireplace and they will even have Wi-Fi. The very exciting news is that they will have bistro tables out on the patio and there will be a pizza oven. I can’t wait until this is finished and hopefully the sun will come out so we can all enjoy that great new patio.
