I had a nice long talk with Rachel at Challenger Ridge Vineyard & Cellars the other morning. It was […]

by Shona Milne on September 29, 2009

Woodinville Wine Cellars had a release party the other weekend and I luckily arrived early and had the chance to ask winemaker, Sean Boyd, about his new wines and the current harvest. Sean is excited about his current 2007 releases of Columbia Valley Syrah and Little Bear Creek. I thought the Syrah had a balanced […]

by Shona Milne on September 21, 2009

I love stopping in Village Wines, you never know who will show up. On Wednesday night they had a good crowd and I think part of  it had to do with their Fab 5 offering of $5 wine by the glass and the $5 food plates. The staff and the customers are a bonus. They run […]

Arlington Road Cellars changed hands awhile ago and the renaming processing has taken a few turns. It was going to be Dancing Alder but there were some personnel changes so that was shelved. It is now going to be SW Stuart Winery. They will have an official Grand Opening after crush, November-ish. Tweet This Post

Tasting & Tweeting: At Grand Cru Wine Bar

by Shona Milne on September 17, 2009

I was invited to a Taste and Tweet on Monday night at Grand Cru Wine Bar. I have to say it was one of the best wine tasting experiences I’ve had. We were working hard tasting the wine with the fabulous food pairings.  It is a challenge to taste, tweet, talk, and listen to the […]

The Cult of Gorman: I’ve Joined

by Shona Milne on September 16, 2009

I made sure that I arrived just after noon on Saturday for Gorman Winery’s release event. Chris only opens up the winery once of twice a year so it’s a not to be missed event. Seattle Magazine has even elevated him to cult status. I’m happy to be a part of that cult. The tasting […]
