Glenn Coogan, vice president of Northwest Operations for Ascentia Wine Estates, passed away Sunday, reportedly of a heart attack. Glenn oversaw operations at Columbia Winery here in Woodinville. The Columbia Winery tasting room is closed today.
On a personal note, I could not believe the news this morning of Glenn’s passing. I work in the tasting room at Columbia and can’t imagine that Glenn won’t be there anymore. He created a great working atmosphere and I also considered him a friend. I was in the kitchen with Glenn a few days ago tasting some of our upcoming releases. I miss him.
