I just received an email from Seattle Uncorked about a Valentine’s Day event for singles. You have to be a member to sign up but you can do that on the homepage.
Valentine’s Day, Saturday, February 14th
An Epicurean Sensory Experience
6:30-9:30 pm – $30
Join us for an evening of sensory challenge and indulgence. Are you single and between 30-50? If so, we have created a very fun evening on Valentine’s for you to challenge your sense of taste and smell. 30 men and 30 women will enjoy a “sensory challenge” created by Sommelier David LeClaire, as well as learn to cook with Chef Kathy Entrop 4 delicious savory dishes infused with chocolate. David will provide an interesting array of wines in addition to wines poured by Efeste Winery, who will be on hand as well!
The sensory challenge will consist of two long tables with men on one side and women on the other. The men will start off blindfolded, and the women will hand them 3 mystery items, one to sniff, one to eat, one to sip. They will guess what the 3 items are, and then remove their blindfolds! Then they move down two spaces, and this time the woman they are across from puts on her blindfold, and the man hands her 3 mystery items to try to identify! This experience will be fun and lively and the winner with the most correct answers at the end wins a mystery prize!
Meanwhile, the other half off the group will be in the kitchen learning how to cook (and then enjoy eating!) 4 recipes that Chef Kathy Entrop has created with chocolate being the theme! These are not desserts, but don’t worry, there will be plenty of chocolate around to nibble on. Once the group in the kitchen is done cooking and eating, they will switch with the other half and do the sensory challenge themselves! Then everyone mingles, makes a few friends, and has some more delicious Efeste wines!
The event needs to be equal numbers of men and women. Please register by clicking on the correct Pay Pal link according to your gender. Once the slots for women and the slots for men are each filled, the Pay Pal link will be removed, and the event will be sold out.
The event is at:

Sorry about that. David’s events usually sell out quickly.
