Taste of Red at Columbia Winery is one of my favorite wine events of the year. I usually go on the Sunday when the crowd is a bit smaller. It’s a great way to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon; sipping Columbia red wines, checking out the vendors, and live music by Geoffrey Castle. I really enjoyed the 07 Malbec from Columbia Valley and the 02 Peninsula, Red Willow Vineyard. The Malbec was nice and spicy and the Peninsula was very smooth. I ended picking up some cheese from The Cheese Cellar and a bottle of Docco’s Merlot Dipping Sauce. So much for early Christmas shopping. It was all about me!
