Cindy Lawson of Covington Cellars sent me some information about their Winemaker Dinners that they are going to hold every Friday night. What a beautiful setting for a dinner. Space is limited to 24 at each dinner and there are six courses and wine, of course.
Our Friday night Winemaker Dinner Series are six course culinary adventures with themes and menus changing regularly. Seating just 24 guests each Friday, these dinners are very intimate with the highest level of service. Prior to dinner seating, each guest chooses to either join the winemaker on a tour of the winery or to join the chef for a cooking demonstration in our new demonstration kitchen. Either choice includes a glass of wine and hors d’oeuvres. Then, halfway through the meal, we’ll take a break with the winemaker for barrel samples. We believe this is a truly unique experience. Our quality of food and wine are on par with the best restaurants in the city. Pricing is just $85/pp + tax and gratuity.
Our cooking classes are hands on, casual events with wine and food and are suitable for all skill levels. Our first class is scheduled for Wed Oct 21st 7-930pm and is called Wine Party Hors d’ oeuvres. Pricing is $79.00 pp and includes two glasses of wine and samples of all foods created in class. Guests also take home all the recipes from that night’s class. If a guest is under the legal drinking age, or does not wish to consume their wine, pricing is just $65.
Wine appreciation classes coming too!

We attended a Friday night dinner at Covington last month and we had a great time celebrating two birthdays. The food was fabulous and the wine, as always, was great.
