I just had a conversation with Manny Loya from Alexandria Nicole’s Tasting Room in Woodinville. I stumbled upon Altered State of Wines on Sunday afternoon up in the warehouse district. Manny filled me in that Altered State of Wines is a second label for Alexandria Nicole Cellars and had opened up around the corner from ANC’s tasting room just a few weeks ago. The wines are created by owner Jarrod Boyle and include The Girl Next Door, Roll in the Hay Chardonnay. It’s 100% Chardonnay from the Columbia Valley and retails for $14.00. Next up was the Redline 2006 Recession Red from Horse Heaven Hills and retails for $16. There was a yet to be named Syrah that will be around $25. They will also be working on a Riesling and a Rose. Manny also told me that the Altered States of Wine website should be up and running in the next three weeks or so.
