On Saturday, November 8, 2014, Columbia Winery will host its 13th Annual Taste of Red event, merging fan favorites from years past with some engaging new twists. In addition to featuring Columbia Winery’s latest wine releases, this year’s Taste of Red will give attendees three options to explore:
- TASTING ROOM: In the recently renovated tasting room, guests can enjoy wine tasting, peruse popup shops from a variety of local vendors, and savor the winery’s signature flatbreads—all set to live music from local performers.
- INTERACTIVE WINE EDUCATION: Three interactive wine classes (1:30 PM, 3:00 PM and 4:30 PM) will bring guests on a behind-the-scenes tasting journey. No reservations are required for the wine classes; however, seating will be limited.
- CELLAR LOUNGE: In the underground cellar, a lounge will beckon guests to get a one-of-a-kind look at the barrel room. Guests can relax and enjoy the live music, sip a selection of award-winning Washington wines, and purchase delectable small bites from a local food truck.
“This year, we enhanced Taste of Red to give our guests new and engaging ways to experience Columbia Winery and Washington Wine Country,” said John Sportelli, Senior Manager of Columbia Winery. “I hope to see everyone out for a glass of wine, delicious food and great music!”
Leading up to the event, past attendees of Taste of Red can share their pictures on Facebook and Instagram using the hashtag #TasteOfRed for a chance to win a prize at this year’s raffles.

About Columbia Winery:
For more than 50 years, Columbia Winery has embraced a legacy of progressive winemaking that has led its forwardthinking winemakers to discover new grape varieties, vineyards and blends. Today, Winemaker Sean Hails continues this spirit of innovation, handcrafting a distinct collection of food-friendly wines from Washington State. Here, intense sunlight, coupled with a lack of rainfall, translates to deeply concentrated color, flavor and structure in the glass. Located just outside of Seattle, the iconic Columbia tasting room offers daily tastings and Northwest-inspired offerings.
