3-Week Class “Washington Wines with a French Touch” with three Winemakers and one Sommelier at South Seattle Community College
Sommelier Dieter Schafer will guide you through a tasting of Washington wines made by French winemakers – vignerons francais. Experienced vignerons who left behind vineyards and châteaux in their home country are crafting excellent wines for several years now in this state.
French winemakers Virginie Bourgue from Lullaby Winery and Jean Claude Beck from Woodhouse Wine Estates will be in attendance to talk about their work, their wines, and how much they enjoy the freedom and liberty in Washington that creative work requires.
In addition, American winemaker John Bell from Willis Hall Winery will be on hand to discuss what it takes to create exceptional wines in the Old World style.
