VINTIMATE AT THE HEATHMAN HOTEL KIRKLAND: WHERE FOOD MEETS ART MEETS WINE
A February Evening Celebrating All Things Northwest

Kirkland, Washington — Four times annually, The Heathman Hotel and Trellis Restaurant present their Vintimate Social, an evening showcasingfood, wine, art and music.  This year’s kickoff will take place on Thursday, February 27, from 5-8pm in the San Juan Ballroom.   Executive Chef Brian Scheehser will feature hand-crafted hors d’oeuvres containing fresh ingredients from his 18-acre Woodinville farm, paired with wines from the highly acclaimed Washington State winery Efestē.  During the social, guests will have the opportunity to view the original artwork from Northwest artist Melissa Cole, while listening to music performed by local pianist Patrick McBride.  Cole’s art pieces will be on display at The Heathman through the end of March and are available for purchase.

“We all need to take time to stop, relax and enjoy amazing art, treat ourselves to sips of outstanding wines, enjoy a wide variety of gourmet bites, and visit with friends old and new,” said General Manager Troy Longwith. “Vintimate honors all the senses, while fostering a sense of community.”

About Artist Melissa Cole
Born in Oregon and raised abroad, Cole graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in Zoology.  She has written over 30 children’s natural history books and travels with her husband Brandon, a wildlife photographer specializing in marine life.  Inspired by native artists worldwide who use bright colors and intricate patterns to bring life to their paintings and carvings, she strives to capture, in her own unique way, that same raw energy in her work.  Melissa’s artistry is found in galleries ranging from Stephan Fine Arts in Anchorage, Alaska to The Wild Side Gallery in Key West, Florida.

About Efestē Wine
Efestē was founded on family tradition, union of friendship, a passion for great wine and food, and the belief that top wines are based on two simple principles—terroir and a minimal winemaking approach. They utilize the native fermentation process, which encourages more complexity and produces full, richer wines.  Their grapes come from some of the best areas in Washington with vineyards scattered throughout the Red Mountain, Wahluke Slope, Columbia Valley, and Yakima Valley AVAs.

The Vintimate Social is a 21 and over event.  Tickets are offered at $30 per person in advance and $35 per person at the door, with both price options inclusive of tax and gratuity. To purchase, call (425) 284-5858 or email events@heathmankirkland.com.
