Carpe Vinum at Uncorked – Seattle Boat Show’s Opening Night Wine Event – January 24, 2014

SEATTLE – January 14, 2014 – Chardonnay and a Cobalt. Sauvignon Blanc and a SeaRay. Merlot and a Malibu. What do these unusual pairings have in common? They will all be available at Uncorked, Seattle Boat Show’s Opening Night event at CenturyLink Field Event Center on Friday January 24th, 2014.

Showgoers can sniff, swirl and sip their way through the Boat Show, tasting a variety of award-winning Northwest wineries, while soaking in the show and shopping for the boat of their dreams or wandering the three acres of accessories exhibits.

The Seattle Boat Show opens at 11am on January 24th, and Uncorked, presented by Falvey Yacht Insurance, runs 5-10pm.  Nine tasting stations will be set up throughout the indoor location at CenturyLink Field, offering premium wines from nine different northwest wineries. Wineries include Waterbrook Winery, Canoe Ridge Vineyard, Ross Andrew Winery, Willow Crest, Washington Hills, Sawtooth Winery, Sagelands Vineyard, Radius and House wine. Winery representatives will be on hand to answer questions about the wines.

Additional great news for showgoers and wine lovers: Waterbrook is the Official Wine of the Seattle Boat Show and Waterbrook wines will be available for purchase throughout the 10 days of the Show at concessions and the full bar and lounge located on the Concourse Level at CenturyLink Field.

Packages for Uncorked may be purchased online for $27 at www.SeattleBoatShow.com.  This price includes a single adult admission to the show valid throughout the day at both locations, plus a complimentary souvenir wine glass and 10 wine tasting tokens. Tickets for Uncorked will also be available at the Box Office.
Sails & Ales – Friday January 31

For those that prefer the grain to the grape, the second Friday of the show – Sails & Ales Craft Beer Night – is for them. Showgoers can taste and toast the very best in craft beers from 12 different Washington artisan breweries. Packages for Sails & Ales are also $27 and include a single adult admission to the show valid throughout the day at both locations, plus a complimentary souvenir craft beer glass (available while supplies last) and six beer tasting tokens.

About the Seattle Boat Show

The Seattle Boat Show, Indoors +Afloat is the West Coast’s largest boats show and features two locations, 1,000 recreational watercraft and more than 400 exhibitors between both locations. There are hundreds of seminars and the latest innovations in accessories (more than three acres of them) at the CenturyLink Field Event Center, plus world-class yachts in their natural habitat on South Lake Union. A free shuttle runs between both locations.

Unique to the Seattle Boat Show is the large variety of boats on display. At other shows, you may find yourself in a sea of bass boats or wakeboard boats. At the Seattle show, the boats on display are representative of the wide range of boating available in the region. The Pacific Northwest and British Columbia are home to perhaps the largest variety of boating in the world – whether it’s wakeboarding on the inland lakes, salmon fishing on Puget Sound or off Vancouver Island, sailing in the San Juan or Gulf Islands, kayaking in the streams and rivers, or cruising to Alaska. Every type of boating available in the region is on display at the Seattle Boat Show.

There are also approximately 200 free seminars during the ten days of the show. No other show in North America matches the Seattle seminar schedule in terms of the quality, variety and volume of seminars offered. Some of the world’s top experts are presenters.
