DETAILS: In celebration of National Take Your Dog to Work Day, the Woodmark Hotel invites guests and the Kirkland community to join the inaugural event at Carillon Point on Friday, June 21. Take Your Dog to Work Day is packed with canine-friendly activities as well as on-site dog adoptions from the Seattle Humane Society.

The schedule of events is as follows:

11 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Pet adoptions

Stop by the Seattle Humane Society’s MaxMobile located at building 4000 at Carillon Point to select a new four-legged friend.

11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Leash-Free Lunch Time

Participants are invited to a lakeside barbecue at the Woodmark Hotel’s Olympic Terrace Lawn and Great Room Patio while pups enjoy a leash-free play zone. Cost is $15 per person and includes sliced watermelon, fresh pasta salad, Chef’s potato salad, fresh baked cookie, bottled water and choice of a grilled hamburger or grilled all-beef hot dog. Access to the leash-free zone is complimentary.

3:30 p.m. – Walk with Woody Meg

All-Day Photo Contest

Take Your Dog to Work Day attendees have the opportunity to win an overnight dog retreat at the Woodmark Hotel by uploading a photo of themselves and their dog to Twitter (use hashtag #TYDTWD #Woodmark) or email photos to info@woodmark.com. Submissions end at 5 p.m. and participants will also be entered into the national Take Your Dog To Work Day photo contest.

TICKETS: Take Your Dog to Work Day is a complimentary event at Carillon Point. Ticket sales are for lunch only and can be purchased at http://leashfreelunch.eventbrite.com/#. Participants may select to pre-pay for tickets or RSVP to pay at the event. Onsite ticket sales are cash only.
