The WSET Intermediate Award covers wines and spirits of the world and is intended for those who have little previous experience. The course is appropriate for both those employed in the drinks trade or consumers who have a serious interest in wine, and wish to broaden their knowledge in a structured way. This course culminates with a 1- hour multiple choice examination.
Course Program includes:
· WSET Level II Systematic Approach to Tasting
· Grape growing and wine making
· Key wine and spirit producing regions
· Key grape varieties
· Sparkling and sweet wines
· Fortified wines plus spirits and liqueurs
Registration fees include the cost of WSET textbook, course instruction, handouts, wine and spirits tastings, and exam.
Certificate and pin awarded upon successful completion of exam.
