Wine Traditions: Thanksgiving

by Shona Milne on November 18, 2012

I’m grateful this year for all the wonderful people I know in Woodinville wine country. We live in an amazing area with about 100 wineries in our backyard. Do you have any Thanksgiving traditions you would like to share? Or what you are grateful for this year? Any certain wines you pair with the Thanksgiving turkey? I know that the Butner household, Kaella Winery, will have the traditional green bean casserole on the table. The green bean casserole won’t be on my table but Ocean Spray cranberry jelly will be. I also have plenty of wine on the table and I watch Hallmark and Lifetime holiday movies and making phone calls to family and friends. I hope that everyone has a food and wine filled Thanksgiving.

Thank you for the kind words. We often forget how lucky we are with the people we have around us.

Hi Shona, just saw this, and yes….once again today we did the infamous Green Bean Casserole. Some traditions must be carried on! Gobble Gobble.

No green bean casserole at my house. Just waiting for dinner right now. Happy Turkey day to you and your family.
