I sent an email to Marie-Eve, winemaker, at Forgeron Cellars asking about the rumors about a tasting room in Woodinville, here is her reply:
Opening an additional Forgeron Cellars outlet in Western Washington has been on my “Must Do” list for about three years now. Over the past twelve months, as I actively began researching and visiting tasting room sites, it became clear that with Woodinville’s convenient location, growing wine community, and natural beauty it is the ideal choice for showcasing my wines. When I became aware that the Challenger Ridge space was available, I knew that I had found the perfect spot.
Much of the “behind-the-scenes” work (the permits and paperwork with WSLCB, interviewing employees, gathering all of the day-to-day items required to run a business, construction and remodeling) is in place. I anticipate a “soft” opening around mid-June and a Grand Opening in mid-July.
As part of the Grand Opening, I will be giving a special “pre-release” presentation of my 2009 Forgeron Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon, along with the July release of the 2009 Forgeron Cellars Syrah.
Thank you again for your interest. I look forward to seeing you in Woodinville in the near future.
