Registration Now Open for The 5th Annual Covey Run 10K Race, 5K Run/Walk and Kids’ Dash
The Covey Run has raised more than $300,000 for Seattle Children’s Hospital
Registration is now open for The 5th Annual Covey Run, a family-friendly event which takes place August 20, 2011 in Woodinville, WA and benefits Seattle Children’s Hospital. Held in conjunction with the Auction of Washington Wines and presented by Covey Run Winery, the race has raised more than $300,000 for uncompensated care at Seattle Children’s Hospital, ensuring that every child has access to healthcare, regardless of their family’s ability to pay. Covey Run winemaker Kate Michaud, a fitness enthusiast and committed philanthropist, has run the 10K nearly every year.
Winners of The Covey Run, who are at least 21 years old, will receive a 3-litre bottle of Covey Run wine and a donation will be presented to Seattle Children’s Hospital at The Wine Gala, which will be held on the evening of August 20th.
The race is Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 8 a.m. – but online registration is available from now until August 17, 2011
The race begins and ends at the Redhook Ale Brewery, 14300 NE 145th Street, Woodinville.
The entry fee is $30 (through August 1), $35 (August 2-17), $40 Day of Registration & 12 and under FREE (timing chip & t-shirt not included)
PRIZES: All participants who raise more than $100 will be eligible for a drawing for prizes donated by local shops and restaurants.
