It was the 10th Anniversary of Passport to Woodinville this year and it was sold out as of late Saturday morning. Woodinville Wine Country put a new spin on the Passport this year by making the Passports good for about six weeks through the end of May. It seemed to me that the urgency to race around and drink a lot of wine in a short period of time was gone. People seemed to really like the idea that they have about six weeks to go to all 41 wineries. What do you think of the new Passport format?
I hit the Woodinville Warehouse district on Saturday later in the afternoon. It did seem to be the place to be. I visited Two Vintners, Covington Cellars, Pomum Cellars, Davenport William Church, Patterson Cellars, Edmonds Winery, and Page Cellars for a few sips of wine and to visit. Tasted some very good wines along the way.
