Lachini Vineyards: Oregon Wine in Woodinville

I had heard rumors for a while that Lachini Vineyards was thinking about coming to Woodinville. I can now say that the rumor is true. I spoke with Ron Lachini last week and he confirmed that they will be opening in the space where the Texas Smokehouse BBQ is now. They are a small family owned estate vineyard that only products single vineyard Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley.  They will be operating as a retail shop since they are a Oregon winery but tastings will be available. Ron also told me that he hopes to also include some additional uniqueness by featuring other Northwest AVAs focused on Pinot Noir (e.g. Ribbon Ridge & Dundee Hills in Oregon).    Their name will be Lachini Family Wines. Ron is hoping for a late May opening.  They will be sharing the space with another winery. Stay tuned for more information.

I hope this is successful, I would love to have a Willamette Valley presence in Woodinville. It’s not any different than many of the tasting-room-only Washington wineries that are popping up in the Tourist District, and it would bring a welcome contrast to the increasingly over-the-top Washington styles that are dominating the landscape.
