Munchbar & Piano Bash: Open in Bellevue

by Shona Milne on January 31, 2011

I had the opportunity to check out the brand new Munchbar and Pianobash at Bellevue Square on Friday night. I think it will become the newest hotspot in town. I think my favorite part was the Piano Bash. If you are looking for some new and fun, get a group of friends together and hit Piano Bash. It’s live, it’s interactive, and it’s great fun. You can request songs or the two piano players may just go off in their own direction. Just don’t request Justin Beiber!

Did I mention the food? They have wicked delicious breaded mac & cheese balls that are deep fried. There are also the Angus beef sliders which were delicious, and I can’t leave out the fried chicken with waffles and syrup that transport you taste buds to a diner in the South. They don’t have a large selction of wines but they do carry Edmonds Winery Meritage and a Chardonnay and a Syrah from Piccola Wine Company.

My girl friend and I, along with friends, went to a similar venue called Dueling Pianos. We attended in Everett though they also have in Seattle and Tacoma. We had a great time, lots of fun. We brought 2 bottles of wine for the 6 of us and paid the corkage. I almost always pay corkage rather than buy a bottle from the restaurant.

I went to a similar place in Portland a few years ago and loved the dueling piano concept. Go check it out.
