I had the opportunity to experience a new program from Willows Lodge the other day. GeoHop is based on the sport of geocaching. You receive a GPS receiver and a sheet with clues to help you find the wine destinations. You plug in the location code and follow the compass to the next winery to get the answer to your clues. You get 2 1/2 hours to GeoHop so you don’t have to race through your wine tastings. All of the locations are located within the Hollywood Schoolhouse area so it’s not too much walking. GeoHopping is Sunday through Thursdays.
Airfield Estates, Alexandria Nicole Cellars, Bookwalter Winery, Brian Carter Cellars, Chateau Ste. Michelle, Columbia Winery, Darby Winery, Goose Ridge Estate Winery, Mark Ryan Winery, Novelty Hill/Januik Winery, PepperBridge/Amavi Cellars, and Village Wines.
