I had a great opportunity to spend extra time with some of the wine bloggers who were attending WBC10 in Walla Walla. I was a judge for the WBC or Bust contest where winning bloggers won a trip that began in Woodinville and took them to Walla Walla and then back to Seattle. From what I have read on their blogs and talked with them during their trip and on our way back into Seattle I think they had a good time and enjoyed the Woodinville part of their trips. I feel lucky to have spent time with them. I hope Toledo Wines and Vines, Another Wine Blog, Cellarmistress’ Cellar Talk, Windy City Wine Guy, The Vino File, Wineormous, Cuvee Corner, Wine Predator, Lorie Loves Wine, Jenna & Wine, General Wine Thoughts return to Woodinville again.
I also had the opportunity to join these winning bloggers at a stop for lunch at Alexandria Nicole Cellars in Prosser. What an amazing lunch Alexandria Nicole Cellars and Chef Brad Smith of Cellar Door Consultants put on for us. We started off with a mixed greens salad with feta, watermelon and a raspberry vinagrette, the main course was grilled Tropical Prawn skewers with Mango Salsa, and our dessert was Cheesecake with Red Wine Reduction and Strawberries. I don’t really like Cheesecake but this was so incredible I ate most of it.

I love cheesecake so you can save your next piece for me. Good reporting and sound like a great time had by all.

Shona,
Sorry I missed what sounds like an amazing trip back, but the allure of visiting Red Mountain held too much sway over my decision making. It was great meeting you on the trip and I love, love the Woodinville Wineries, I so many more memories and reviews which still need to be written. I was so impressed with Bob Betz, I talked him into letting into allowing me to be on the “list” so happy!

Oh, lucky you. I got on the list last fall. Drank a bottle of Betz on my birthday the other week. It seemed a good occasion for a good bottle. I am checking the blogs to see about Woodinvilles posts. So glad you enjoyed the Grand Tasting at Willows Lodge.
