Winery Opening: Michael Florentino Cellars

If you are out and about in the warehouse district this Saturday you should stop by Michael Florentino Cellars for their Grand Opening. It’s Saturday from noon-5pm. They will be tasting eight wines. Four are Michael Florentino and the other four are from the Gecko Wine Company label. You can find them right next to Patterson Cellars.

I visited them on the third Thursday and was impressed with their wines. They have some interesting varietals with decent prices. Their wines are a good value.

We stopped by last weekend and I loved the Malbec (so peppery!) We bought bottles of their Malbec and Primitivo. I can’t wait to try some of their other reds. I was also impressed with their rose’. Very nice flavors.
