I just finished reading The Vintage Caper by Peter Mayle. You may know of Peter Mayle from A Year in Provence or A Good Year.
The Vintage Caper is a classic mystery which revolves around a large wine theft in California. Hollywood lawyer, Danny Roth, shows off his extensive wine cellars for a feature in the Los Angeles Times. Shortly after the story runs he finds himself a victim of the theft of his highly prized wine collection. The insurance company is called in and an expert on unusual crimes. They start to question who would possibly have the resources and what would have happened to the wine. The story moves to Bordeaux and then onto some wine collectors in Provence who could be suspects. It’s an easy and fun read for wine lovers.
