I spent all day Monday up at Hollywood Hill Vineyards harvesting Pinot Noir. It dosen’t seem to be hard work at first but getting down close to the ground and bending while clipping grapes soon makes the back a bit sore. Then you have to take your full bucket down to the end of a row to dump the grapes into a large container. I certianly did not need to hit the gym that day. The sun was out and it was a fantastic day to harvest. We also had a great lunch with some Pinot Noir and Regent wine. At the end of the day we had harvested over 1 ton on Puget Sound AVA Pinot Noir. I am really looking forward to its release as I helped pick those grapes.
