Woodinville Wine Cellars: A Good Vintage

Woodinville Wine Cellars had a release party the other weekend and I luckily arrived early and had the chance to ask winemaker, Sean Boyd, about his new wines and the current harvest. Sean is excited about his current 2007 releases of Columbia Valley Syrah and Little Bear Creek. I thought the Syrah had a balanced soft flavor with an aroma of violets. Sean said that he thinks that the 07 is as good as the 05 harvest. I asked him about the current 09 harvest and he said that he think it will also be a very good year despite some high brix numbers in the fruit right now.
