Wine in the Pines is a three day food and wine festival held up at the lovely Suncadia resort just over the mountains in Cle Elum. It runs from Friday, August 21st through Sunday, August 23rd. On the Friday there is a preview reception and a concert in the amphitheater. Saturday, you have choices of workshops to attend, there is a tasting and you finish up the evening with a winemakers dinner where Suncadia’s chef, Andrew Wilson will be joined by chef, Tom Douglas. On Sunday morning you can wrap up the weekend with a brunch before you head back to reality.

This is a fantastic event. I attended last year and had a fantastic time. The wineries are all top notch and interact with all of the guests. I’ve told all of my friends about this event and many are traveling from out of State to attend.

I attend many wine events in the State and I have to say that Wine in The Pines is one of the best events of its kind that I have ever attended. I’m particularly looking forward to the dinner with Tom Douglas and the resorts Executive chef which I hear should be over the top as well!!

The Grand Tasting last year was the most enjoyable tasting event I’ve ever attended. The well-spaced booths and casual atmosphere allowed us to spend time chatting with the winemakers without feeling rushed or cramped. The Winemaker’s Dinner was fabulous! Outstanding food, relaxed and lively converstaion with a winemaker and of course great wines. Looking forward to another great event this year!

Suncadia is a fabulous spot. I have not attended the event. Not sure if I will make it this year. It’s a long drive if you don’t stay over. I would love to attend, it sounds like it’s a fabulous event filled with food and wine.
