I have not been to the Beach Cafe in Kirkland in quite some time. Little did I know what I have been missing. I had dinner there on Friday night with a friend from Colorado. Chef Norma sent us out an appetizer plate with shrimp, calamari, and crab. They have a great dinner menu and I can personally recommend the halibut with bacon and fingerling potatoes. My friend’s Crab Cakes disappeared quite quickly and I didn’t get a bite but he assured me that they were fabulous.
The Beach Cafe now offers breakfast Monday through Friday and a Blunch on Saturday and Sunday. Yes, Blunch, it’s a breakfast lunch combination offered on the weekends. They have a good choice of wines by the glass and I had a Maryhill Merlot which paired well with the halibut.
