Wine Bloggers Conference 2010: Woodinville?

by Shona Milne on July 9, 2009

I had heard that there might be a Wine Bloggers conference in Washington in 2010. It’s going to be in Woodinville or Walla Walla.  VOTE

2010 Conference Location – You Decide
July 9th, 2009 · From the Organizers

We are happy to announce the 2010 North American Wine Bloggers Conference will be in Washington State. We know there are many great wine states out there in addition to California and any number of them (Oregon, New York, Texas, etc) would make a great host. We selected Washington in part because there is a vibrant, active blogger community there and some of the biggest wineries and wine organizations have offered their support.

However, Washington is large and we have two potential locations: Woodinville (near Seattle) and Walla Walla (in the southeast corner of the state). There are advantages and disadvantages to both and, because the WBC is all about you – the bloggers – we are asking you to help us determine the location.

If you want to have maximum impact for your members, it should be held in Woodinville. I’d like to know more about this to see how I might help.

I voted for Woodinville myself. I want to attend this event next July.

Dozens of wineries have opened 2nd tastings rooms in Woodinville for the same reasons that are germane to a successful conference.

There are quite a few tasting rooms opening up in Woodinville. Eastern Washington is coming over to us. We are the population center to sell their wines. Gifford-Hirlinger just opened and Dusted Valley is almost open. I can hardly keep up.
