It was a dark and stormy night as I pulled into Preservation Kitchen on Tuesday. Preservation Kitchen’s menu focus is on seasonal, locally produced, and sustainable ingredients whenever possible. Their wine list also has quite a few local wineries represented.
I was attending an Oregon Pinot Noir tasting presented by Guy Harris of Cru Selections. All four were from small production, family owned wineries that Cru Selections represents. We got to vote on our favorites and the most popular will be put on the Preservation Kitchen wine list. My favorite was the 2006 Patton Valley Pinot Noir. I plan on going back when the sun is shining to sit outside and drink some wine.

I’m glad your keeping any eye on Guy for us, its good to hear that he is ‘working it’! Also thank you for mentioning Patton Valley Vineyard, we aim to please! I’ll have to check Preservation Kitchen out next time I’m up in that neck of the woods.

It was very fun evening and the wines were great. I hope he does another event like that. Preservation Kitchen deserves another visit.

Patton Valley is one of the best hidden secrets in Oregon. We found them a few years ago and stop each time we are down for Thanksgiving weekend…The wines just keep getting better…. Let Jerry know we love his wine…

It was my favorite of the evening. Big flavor for a Pinot. I don’t like wimpy Pinot’s.
