I received an email that a Woodinville winery was up for sale on Craigs List. Sure enough I checked it this morning and there it is. I just can’t figure out who it is.

Established Woodinville wine brand in business seven years and operating profitably with an expected 2009 production of about 1,400 cases. It produces seven varieties of red wines and two varieties of white wines with an average bottle price of $25 for the reds and $15 for the whites. Market segment is mid-priced, low alcohol level wines., appealing to a wide audience. Three of its 2005 wines scored 89-90 by Wine Enthusiast.

Distribution includes nearly 70 retail outlets in Washington including restaurants, grocery stores, wine shops and several liquor stores. The winery operates its own wine club with about 50 members.
The offering includes the business operations, wine label, wine-making equipment and current inventory including bottled wines and in-barrel.

The winery business in its entirety, including the brand name, label, existing inventory and all equipment is available for a price of $500,000. Seller terms may be considered and the owner is willing to work in an advisory capacity during the transition to new ownership.
