I had a busy Friday night which started off at a birthday party for newly added Consulting Executive Chef, Missy Will, at Woodhouse Family Cellars. They were pouring Tempranillo and La Vie en Rouge Red Blend from their Kennedy Shah label. The food was amazing as you can see from my pictures. I think I went back to the lamb three times. Everything was fabulous!
I was also invited to the release party for Subplot 23 at J. Bookwalter Tasting Room. I loved the Subplot 22 and have been anxiously awaiting the new arrival. Subplot 23 has nice tannins, flavors of cherries and plums, and a long finish. It was worth the wait. John Bookwalter is one of my favorite winemakers.
