Well, my feet still hurt from all the walking that I did on Sunday afternoon at the NW Women’s Show. I think I ended up with about 17 pounds of cat food, Slim Fast bars, vitamins, lotions, shampoos, and various other trinkets. I started and ended my day in the wine tasting area which I highly recommend. I had not been to the show for a few years and decided to make a visit this year. I love the wine tasting area addition. There was a suggested donation fee for entry with 50% going to O Wines and 50% to Make-The-Dash-Count which is funded by Heaven’s Cave Cellars which donates 100% of all profits to support this cause. O Wines donates a portion of their profits to fund scholarships for young girls and they recently funded their fourth scholarship. Make the Dash Count mission is to inspire and empower the youth leaders in our communities to become the next generation of philanthropists by actively engaging them in the process of giving back to help other young people in need. Also pouring was Bookwalter Winery, White Rocket Wine Company, Stinas Cellars, Samson Estates Winery, St Laurent Estate Winery, Rainer Winery, PengWine, Milbrandt Vineyards, Maryhill Winery, and Bergevin Lane Vineyards. Vinolover.com and Sweet Decadence Chocolates were also in the winery area.
