The Good, the Vile, & the Horrendous: Last Word on Mexico

by Shona Milne on March 28, 2009

The Good: We did find a Mexican Sparkling that kept us happy while in Mazatlan. It’s NV Chambrulet Brut from the Guadalupe Valley in Baja. If you can find it I highly recommend it.

The Vile & Horrendous: We had a fun evening out listening to live music at The Purple Onion. A bottle of La Cetto Chardonnay was ordered and I had a sip and the only thought that came to mind was “vile”. My friend’s verdict was “horrendous”. I’m not sure that the Spanish word for terroir is but something was off. It is possible that the wine sat in the sun for several days to taste that bad. I just don’t know if I could give it another chance.
