I received an email from Matthews Estate about a 12 part series based on different cookbooks from around the world. The first class is Thursday, January 29th.

Matthews Estate Wine Tasting and a copy of your own “Jamie at Home“, by Jamie Oliver, one of the hottest cookbooks of the year; presented by chef Marry Jane Landau of Landau’s Catering & Events, who has been successfully sharing her expertise for more than 15 years. Matthews best wines, will be perfectly paired with each recipe!
Each month, we will be exploring a great new cookbook from somewhere around the world, out of the wonderful kitchen at Matthews Estate House and Bed and Breakfast in the heart of the Woodinville Wine Country.
Menu: Italian Ham & Spinach Tart
English Onion Soup with Sage and Cheddar
Zucchini Pasta Carbonara
Sweet Pear&Apple Salad with Endive & Creamy Blue Cheese
Orchard Harvest Pudding with Whiskey Whipped Cream.The evening works like this….when you arrive….you will be welcomed with light nibbles and, of course, wine. Then, the group is seated and the cooking demonstration begins. Chef Mary Jane Landau “takes the stage” explaining and showing recipe preparation and cooking teqniques for experienced cooks and novices alike, while Matthews staff presents the wines.
While the dishes are beeing demonstrated, any questions that come up will be answered. Once courses have been prepared and everyone seated…we will all enjoy the delicious dinner and great wines… getting to know each other over plenty of food and wine for everyone. This is not only about a cooking class but also about a team adventure…together, we will make an array of dishes that are perfect for entertaining or simply a relaxing dinner with friends.The class itself is about one hour and a half, and serving time usually around 8.30 PM.Class Name : Home, Food&Wine-January
