by Shona Milne on July 13, 2010

Part of the Wine Blogger Conference was an hour of white wine speed tasting and an hour of red wine speed tasting. I truly have mixed feeling on wine speed tasting. You get to taste through twelve wines in one hour and you just go with your immediate response with a sip or two and you […]

Alexandria Nicole: Warehouse Location Closed

by Shona Milne on July 8, 2010

I stopped by Alexandria Nicole Cellars Tasting Room in the warehouse district after someone told me they thought it had closed. Sure enough, it’s closed. It closed down about two weeks ago so the Hollywood Schoolhouse tasting room is the only location in Woodinville. They had originally planned to keep both tasting rooms but in the end it didn’t […]

WBC10: What I Learned This Summer

by Shona Milne on July 6, 2010

So I spent three fun and wine filled days in Walla Walla at the Wine Bloggers Conference the other week. I did come away with quite a bit of new knowledge and that I don’t plan any radical changes to the blog or what I tweet. I think I have a great niche with Woodinville wines. […]

We did manage a break on Friday afternoon for lunch when the Taco Trucks pulled up outside the Marcus Whitman. I know some were a bit unsure but as much as I love fine dining, I love diners and food trucks too. I tried tacos from the first truck La Monarca. I decided to go […]

I arrived in Walla Walla on Thursday afternoon and headed up to my room at the Marcus Whitman Hotel to relax before heading out to Walla Walla Vintners for a pizza party. They have an amazing pizza oven outside the tasting room and some picnic tables looking out onto a vineyard. I could have stayed here […]

Cave B: On the Road to #WBC10

by Shona Milne on July 1, 2010

I stopped in at Cave B to see how the winning WBC or Bust Wine Bloggers were doing on their road trip over to Walla Walla. I was amazed at the beautiful view out onto the Gorge you get from the upstairs event room and the tasting room. Another wine tasting had been arranged for […]
