I crossed water to go to Bartholomew Winery Grand Opening on Saturday afternoon. They are located in the Old Rainier Brewery building at 3100 Airport Way South, Suite 10, Seattle, 98134. I have known Bart a few years. He was just beginning to make wine so I was so happy to attend his grand opening event. I really enjoyed the Sauvignon Blanc from the Columbia Valley; it’s fermented in Stainless steel. It’s crisp and bright and will be a great Summer Sipper. It’s $14 and I took home a bottle. I did like all the red wines but I did love the 2007 Reciprocity which is a 50% Cab Sauv & 50% Carmenere from Horse Heaven Hills. It has nice spicy flavors and some white pepper. I’ve got a bottle of that in my cellar now. I look forward to trying more of Bart’s wines as he tries some other varietals. You can stop by and try his wines on Saturday and Sunday noon-5pm.

Shona, thanks for stopping by the grand opening. I hope my nerves didn’t come through too much on this video. I’m new at this….

You were great. Hope you get some more people in today to try your delicious wines. Guess I will have to wait for some sun to open up your Sauvignon Blanc.
